In an effort to promote the growth of garment, hosiery, and apparel industry in the state, the Government of West Bengal has conceived and is setting up Garment Park at 19, Canal South Road, in Beliaghata in Kolkata. The Park have five 5-storied Standard Design Factory (SDF) Buildings meant for setting up manufacturing units and a 3-storied Common Facilities Building (CFB) for setting up support units, meant for efficient functioning of the manufacturing units. Spread over 8.78 acres of land in Beliaghata, the Park is a result of impeccable planning at every stage, from conception to execution.
The Park is being built in two phases. Phase I of the Park consist of three 5-storied Standard Design Factory (SDF) Buildings housing stitching and finishing units for garment, hosiery & leather and other ancillary support items. Phase II of the Park will consist of another two 5 . Storied SDF Buildings.
The modules in the Park are meant for garment/hosiery/apparel/leather garment manufacturing units, which meet all the pollution (industry citing) norms of West Bengal Pollution Control Board and have infrastructure requirements within the specified design norms. |
