SHALBONI INDUSTRIAL PARK, PASCHIM MEDINIPUR
| |
| West Bengal has traditionally been an important industrial base in India. Iron and Steel is one of the many industries, where West Bengal enjoys a competitive edge. Proximity to the rich iron ore reserves in the neighbouring states, availability of coal and expanding physical infrastructure in the state have led to a rise in investment and production of iron and steel in West Bengal. WBIDC is setting up an industrial park for manufacturing of iron and steel at Shalboni in Paschim Medinipur district of West Bengal, a region poised for future growth and expansion. Strategically positioned on NH 60 the park’s close proximity to road, rail, air and sea links will allow efficient and cost effective access to interstate and international destinations. |
