| Established in 1989, SRINIKETAN-SANTINIKETAN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (SSDA) has the rural and urban areas under its jurisdiction with a total planning area of 106.281 sq. km. The Bolpur Municipality is under the jurisdiction of SSDA. The Authority has taken up various development works in its planning area. Bolpur Bye-Pass Road Project has been taken up to solve the problem of traffic congestion; an important Satellite township i.e. Prantik has been developed together with a Commercial Complex. SSDA has also taken up a joint venture housing project with Peerless Housing Company. First phase of a Cultural Complex under the name and style, 'Geetanjali' has been completed. Detailed planning for the 2nd phase is in progress. Village link roads are being developed for better connectivity. |
