Integrated Logistics Park, Haldia
Introduction
Apeejay Infralogistics Private Limited (AILPL), a joint venture between Apeejay Surrendra Group and UK based Eredene Capital Plc., UK are in the process of creating infrastructure for facilitating an integrated logistics business facility (an integrated logistics park) in Haldia. The logistics park will provide multi functional facilities for storage, distribution, efficient transportation, ancillary support services and trade facilitation infrastructure under one roof to provide “End to End Logistics Support” for customers.
Location
The 90 acres of land, conveniently located 7 km from Haldia Port, 200 mtr before Broujalal Chowk with a 140 mtr frontage on NH41 and 60 mtr frontage on state highway, ensures that the facility is well connected and hence enjoys a fast and smooth link to the highway.
Apeejay Infralogistics: A short Profile
A modern purpose-built Logistics Park, close to the product source and enjoying excellent transportation links especially with immediate access to time-critical road network and seaport can meet the new and challenging demands of the customers and hence their needs can therefore be satisfied through integration of sourcing, processing and transportation. And with Haldia being one of the major ports in India today, this facility is well situated to take advantage of the opportunities present.

The facility will not only provide a purpose built operating environment for logistics service providers but will also serve as a focus for the development of value added services.

These activities many of which cannot normally be carried out efficiently in most of the existing logistics facilities available in India today, could include cross-docking, customization, management reporting, merge-in transit, manufacturing support, order taking, pick-and-pack, repair or refurbishment, reverse logistics, special packaging, and sub-assembly. In addition, it is likely that a number of associated services could also be provided in the facility such as consultancy services including systems integration and process reengineering, freight consolidation, project logistics, purchase order management, and quality control. The facility will also offer up-to-date IT infrastructure.

The Logistic Park’s basic infrastructure such as roads, drainage, sewerage, water supply and other utilities, will also be made available. Support and shared facilities such as, a cargo handling area, catering facilities, landscaped open space, and banking facilities would add further value to the services that are provided.

AILPL’s Integrated Logistics Park will become an integral part of the Supply chain activities by emphasizing promptness, dependability and cost effectiveness and hence enabling it to meet today’s market needs.
