| Paridhan - the Garment Park at Kolkata |

Kolkata, 1st March 2009: The textile industry has had traditionally a significant presence in West Bengal. With an objective to promote the growth of the garment, hosiery and apparel industry in the State, the Government of West Bengal conceived the development of Paridhan-the Garment Park at 19 Canal South Road, Beliaghata in Kolkata. This Park, being developed by WBIDC, on the cluster concept over 8.78 acres, is aimed at providing the entrepreneurs with necessary infrastructure and support facilities within a single complex at an affordable cost.
The modules in the Park have been designed for garment/hosiery/apparel/leather manufacturing units, meet all the pollution (industry citing) norms of West Bengal Pollution Control Board, have infrastructure requirements within the specified design norms, in terms of floor loading, power consumption, maximum manpower requirement and goods lift restriction.

| The Garment Park is being developed in two phases. Phase-I of the Garment Park is fully developed and Phase-II of the Park is presently being developed and is expected to be completed in January, 2010. When fully developed, the project will have a total built up space of 6,75,000 sq ft. comprising of Five Standard Design Factories (SDF) for setting up manufacturing units and a Common Facilities Building (CFB) for setting up supporting facilities for efficient functioning of the manufacturing units. These modules are designed to give maximum flexibility to the owners in re-designing internal layouts, best suited to their respective business. The total project cost is Rs. 77.28 crore for development of both phases of the project as well as development of offsite infrastructure of the Garment Park. |

| In Phase – I of the project, a total built up space of 4,03,600 sq ft. has been developed with an investment of Rs. 35.99 crore and with the following facilities:- |

One 3-Storied Common Facility Building with workers’ canteen, business center, restaurants, courier services, meeting rooms, first aid center, freight forwarding center, insurance company etc. |

One Trucker’s Amenity Centre. |

| Presently all the modules built in Phase-I have been leased out. Of the 85 modules in SDFs and CFB, 24 modules have started their operations. Another 20 are in their internal construction phase. The modules which are operational in the park already employ more than 1000 workforce. When the park is fully operational, the total direct employment generated is expected to be over 8000 persons and indirect employment of 24,000 persons. |
