| PCPIR covers an area of 62458 acres comprising Haldia mainland and Nayachar island with 27104 acres of processing area of processing area and 35444acres of non processing area. Prafulla Chandra Roy Chemicals Pvt. Ltd (PCRCPL), a joint venture company is the developer for the project. Government of West Bengal through WBIDC holds equity in the project. Jurong Consultants, Singapore is the technical consultant for the project. The project has been cleared by the High Power Committee in the Cabinet meeting held on 3rd February, 2009. |
