West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation (WBIDC), in association with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) has established Bengal Innovation and Business Acceleration Centre (B-IBAC) in August 2018. It is a model acceleration, incubation centre and education program to support innovators, technology, start-ups, enterprises, and existing businesses which have the potential to grow, scale and contribute to the economy of the state of West Bengal. Bengal IBAC has partnered with the best institution from global innovation, entrepreneurship, and start-up domains – like IC2, University of Texas, Austin, USA, India Innovation Partners (IIP), USA ( Associated with University of North Texas , UNCTAD- Empretec India Foundation (EIF) to support all the entrepreneurs from state of West Bengal.

Objective

The objective of the B-IBAC is to engage with businesses for their respective technology/business evaluation and growth in business, having measurable growth outcomes. Furthermore, to support their business expansion in domestic and emerging markets B-IBAC will work closely with the exporters of West Bengal to expand.

Since its inception, the centre has successfully completed 6 cohorts with 240+ companies from different sectors such as chemicals, leather, healthcare, agriculture & allied sectors, IT & Technology, foundry, food, Jute and cotton, home and office décor, fashion jewellery, education, engineering, design manufacturing and many more.

A dedicated website, www.ibacwb.in has been launched to welcome all the interested applicants to register for the program online. A brief outline and seminars on B-IBAC are also mentioned on the website.
